Unlimited: He Cares For You

Casting all your care upon Him; for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 NKJV).
You are staggering beneath a weight which your Father would not feel. What seems to you a crushing burden, would be to him as light as a little dust.
When you are suffering, be patient; God has not neglected you. He feeds the sparrows, and he will also give you what you need. Don’t wallow in despair; hope on, hope always.
There is One who cares for you. His eye is fixed on you, his heart beats with pity for your woe, and his omnipotent hand will bring you the help you need. The darkest cloud will bring showers of God’s mercy. The blackest gloom will turn into the light of morning. God… will “bind up your wounds”, he will heal your broken heart.
Don’t doubt God’s grace because of your problems, but believe that He loves you as much in times of trouble as in times of happiness. What a peaceful life you could have if you stopped worrying and let God do the providing!
God has never refused to bear your burdens, he has never fainted under their weight. Come, then! Leave behind fretting, worry and care, and leave all your concerns in the hand of a gracious God.
– Charles Spurgeon (adapted)
Eli’s Reflection: I have found that patience is a difficult quality to develop. We want solutions now. Yet the Bible reminds to us again and again to be patient. What can you do in your life to develop more patience? Maybe a good start is to slow down and spend more time with God.
