“Doubtless you are the people, and wisdom will die with you! But I have a mind as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know all these things”(Job 12:2,3).
The humanity of Job and his ‘know-all’ comforters is here delightfully displayed. Who has not at some time, been regaled with explanations for one’s misfortune by acquaintances who appear to know what God is attempting to teach you? Job knew their explanation was deficient. The wisdom of pious colleagues is not always helpful. At any time, they could be in the same pickle as you are, and then they would feel the inadequacy of their world view just as you do. We are all subject to the same puzzles and frustrations. We all experience the mystery of it all.
